2. Setup Instructions
2.1 Charging the Transmitter
Before initial use, fully charge the U3 transmitter. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the charging port on the U3 transmitter and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The LED indicator will illuminate during charging and change color or turn off when fully charged. A full charge provides approximately 5 hours of continuous operation.
2.2 Connecting the Transmitter to a Microphone
The U3 transmitter is designed to plug directly into the XLR output of your dynamic microphone. Ensure the connection is firm and secure. This transforms your wired microphone into a wireless one.

2.3 Connecting to an Audio System (Receiver Required)
The U3 TX is a transmitter unit only. To complete the wireless system, you will need an Xvive U3 receiver (sold separately). The receiver connects to your audio mixer, PA system, or active loudspeaker via its XLR output. Ensure the receiver is also powered on and set to the same channel as the transmitter.
2.4 Mode Selection (Mic/Line)
The U3 transmitter features a switch to select between Mic and Line modes. This allows for optimal signal handling depending on your audio source.
- Mic Mode: Use this mode when connecting to dynamic microphones or for auxiliary output signals from devices such as computers and MP3 players.
- Line Mode: This mode offers a greater dynamic range and is suitable for handling larger output devices, such as the main output from an audio mixer, to prevent signal clipping or popping sounds.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
To power on the U3 transmitter, press and hold the power button until the indicator lights illuminate. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the lights turn off.
3.2 Channel Selection
The U3 system supports up to 6 simultaneous channels. To select a channel, briefly press the channel button on the transmitter. The channel indicator will change. It is crucial that both the U3 transmitter and its corresponding U3 receiver are set to the exact same channel for proper wireless communication.
3.3 Range and Performance
The system provides a stable RF connection over a range of up to 90 feet. For optimal performance and to minimize signal drops, maintain a clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver. Avoid placing large metal objects or other 2.4GHz wireless devices directly between the units, as this can interfere with the signal.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Battery Care
The U3 transmitter is equipped with a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. To maximize battery lifespan, avoid frequent deep discharges. Recharge the unit when the battery indicator shows low power. If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure it has a partial charge (around 50%) and store it in a cool, dry environment.
4.2 Cleaning and Storage
Clean the exterior of the U3 transmitter with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive materials, or solvents, as these can damage the finish or internal components. When not in use, store the U3 in a protective case or bag to prevent physical damage.
Important: To prevent interference, avoid using the U3 system near other wireless devices operating on the 2.4GHz band. Always follow local regulations for battery handling and disposal.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- No Sound or Intermittent Audio:
- Ensure both the transmitter and receiver (if applicable) are powered on and fully charged.
- Verify that the transmitter and receiver are set to the exact same channel.
- Check the distance between the units; ensure it is within the 90-foot range and there are no major physical obstructions.
- Confirm the microphone is properly connected to the transmitter and the receiver is correctly connected to your audio system.
- Adjust the Mic/Line mode switch on the transmitter to match your audio source.
- Interference or Noise:
- Change the operating channel on both the transmitter and receiver to find a clearer frequency.
- Move the U3 system away from other 2.4GHz wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other wireless systems) that may cause interference.
- Ensure the transmitter and receiver are not too close to large metal objects or walls.
- Short Battery Life:
- Ensure the unit is fully charged before each use.
- Battery performance can degrade over time with extensive use; if battery life significantly decreases, contact Xvive customer support for assistance.
