4. Setup

4.1 Powering the Radio

The DMR115 can be powered by either an AC adapter or a Makita Lithium-Ion battery.

4.1.1 Using the AC Adapter

  1. Connect the supplied AC adapter to the DC IN socket on the radio.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  3. The radio will power on using AC current. Note that the AC adapter does not charge batteries.

4.1.2 Using a Battery

  1. Open the battery compartment cover at the rear of the radio.
  2. Insert a charged Makita 12V max CXT or 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery into the battery slot, ensuring it clicks into place.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely to maintain IP65 protection.
  4. The radio will now operate on battery power.

4.2 Initial Power On

Press the Power button (usually marked with a circle and vertical line symbol) on the control panel to turn the radio on. The display will illuminate.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Radio Modes (DAB/DAB+, FM)

  1. Press the BAND button to cycle through DAB, DAB+, and FM radio modes.

5.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

Connect your mobile device to the radio via Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming.

  1. Press the BAND button until "Bluetooth" is displayed.
  2. The radio will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the display.
  3. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices. Select "DMR115" from the list.
  4. Once paired, the Bluetooth icon will stop flashing and remain solid. You can now stream audio from your device.

5.3 AUX IN Mode
