Setup and Installation
1. Insert Batteries into Receiver
Open the battery compartment located on the back of the receiver unit. Insert 3x AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment securely.
2. Install Transmitter (Push Button)
Choose a suitable, flat location for the transmitter near your door. Ensure the surface is clean and dry for optimal adhesion or secure mounting.
- Adhesive Mounting: Peel off the protective film from the double-sided adhesive pad. Firmly press the transmitter onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.
- Screw Mounting: For a more permanent installation, use the provided screws to secure the transmitter to the wall. Mark the drill points, drill pilot holes if necessary, and then attach the transmitter.
The transmitter is designed with an IP66 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor exposure to elements.
3. Pairing (Pre-linked)
Your VOXON doorbell receiver and transmitter are pre-linked at the factory. They should function immediately after battery installation.
If re-pairing is necessary (e.g., after battery replacement, adding new components, or if the doorbell does not chime):
- Press and hold the Volume button on the receiver for approximately 5 seconds until it emits a "ding" sound and the LED indicator begins to flash.
- Immediately press the Transmitter button. The receiver will chime, indicating successful pairing.
Operating Instructions
Changing Chimes
Press the Chime Selection button on the receiver to cycle through the 60 available melodies. The receiver will play each chime as you press the button. Stop pressing when you hear your preferred chime to select it.
Adjusting Volume
Press the Volume button on the receiver to cycle through the 5 available volume levels. Each press will adjust the volume, from 0 dB (mute) to 110 dB. Select the desired volume level.
Mute Mode
To activate mute mode, repeatedly press the Volume button until the volume reaches 0 dB. In this mode, the doorbell will not produce an audible chime, but the LED indicator will still flash when the transmitter button is pressed, providing a visual alert.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the doorbell receiver and transmitter units with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surfaces.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 3x AA batteries in the receiver when the low battery indicator appears or if the doorbell's performance degrades. For the transmitter, replace its battery (typically a 12V 23A battery, though not specified in product data) when the signal becomes weak or stops working. Ensure correct battery polarity during replacement.
- Environmental Conditions: While the transmitter is waterproof, avoid prolonged submersion in water. Ensure the receiver unit is always kept in a dry, indoor environment.
