1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of the Yanmis LZS-20(D) Water Flowmeter. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure safe and efficient operation.
The Yanmis LZS-20(D) is a tube-type liquid flowmeter designed for measuring and monitoring various liquids. It features an ABS plastic shell for durability and a transparent panel for easy and clear reading of values. Its high measurement accuracy (less than 4%) makes it suitable for a range of industrial and scientific applications.
2. Safety Information
Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the device:
- Ensure the flowmeter is installed by qualified personnel in accordance with local codes and regulations.
- Do not exceed the specified working pressure (0.6Mpa) or working temperature (0-60 °C).
- Verify compatibility of the flowmeter's materials (ABS Plastic, PTFE) with the liquid being measured to prevent corrosion or damage.
- Handle the device with care to avoid physical damage, especially to the transparent tube.
- Always depressurize the system before attempting any installation, maintenance, or removal of the flowmeter.
3. Product Overview
The Yanmis LZS-20(D) Water Flowmeter is a compact and robust device for liquid flow measurement. Its design allows for straightforward integration into existing piping systems.

4. Setup and Installation
The LZS-20(D) flowmeter is designed for easy installation into a liquid piping system. It uses plastic flat interfaces with an inner diameter of 25mm (1 inch).
4.1 Pre-installation Checks
- Inspect the flowmeter for any visible damage before installation.
- Ensure the piping system is clean and free of debris that could obstruct the flow or damage the flowmeter.
- Confirm that the liquid medium and operating conditions (pressure, temperature) are within the flowmeter's specifications.
4.2 Installation Steps
- Choose Location: Install the flowmeter in a vertical position, ensuring the flow direction matches the arrow on the device (if present, otherwise assume upward flow for tube type).
- Prepare Piping: Ensure the pipe ends are clean, smooth, and properly aligned with the flowmeter's interfaces.
- Connect: Securely connect the flowmeter to the piping using appropriate fittings for the 25mm (1 inch) plastic flat interface. Ensure a watertight seal without overtightening, which could damage the plastic.
- System Check: After installation, slowly introduce the liquid into the system and check for any leaks at the connections.
5. Operating Instructions
The Yanmis LZS-20(D) flowmeter provides a direct visual indication of liquid flow rate.
5.1 Reading the Flow Rate
- Ensure the flowmeter is filled with the liquid and flow is established.
- The red float inside the transparent tube will rise to a level corresponding to the current flow rate.
- Read the flow rate directly from the scale marked on the side of the tube. The scale indicates flow in Liters per Hour (L/H).
- The measuring range for this model is 40-400 L/H.
- For accurate readings, view the float at eye level to avoid parallax error.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your flowmeter.
6.1 Cleaning
- If the transparent tube becomes cloudy or dirty, it may affect reading accuracy.
- To clean, depressurize the system and carefully remove the flowmeter.
- Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. For internal cleaning, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution compatible with ABS plastic and PTFE, and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the plastic or damage the seals.
6.2 Inspection
- Periodically inspect the flowmeter for any signs of cracks, leaks, or wear on the connectors.
- Check that the float moves freely within the tube and is not obstructed by debris.
- Ensure all connections remain secure.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with the flowmeter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No flow indication / Float stuck | No liquid flow; Obstruction in tube; Float damaged. | Verify liquid supply; Depressurize and inspect/clean tube; Replace flowmeter if float is damaged. |
| Inaccurate readings | Air bubbles in liquid; Flowmeter not vertical; Debris in tube; Incorrect liquid temperature. | Purge air from system; Ensure vertical installation; Clean tube; Verify liquid temperature is within 0-60 °C. |
| Leaks at connections | Loose connections; Damaged seals; Incorrect installation. | Tighten connections (do not overtighten); Inspect and replace seals if necessary; Reinstall correctly. |
