1. Setup
1.1 Package Contents
Verify that all items are present in the package:
- 1x Ulefone Armor X5 Smartphone
- 1x AC Power Charger Adapter (100~240V / US plug)
- 1x Data Cable (100cm)
- 1x Tempered Glass Protective Film
- 1x SIM Needle
- 1x Multi-language User Manual (this document)
1.2 SIM Card and TF Card Installation
The Armor X5 supports dual SIM cards or one SIM card and one TF (microSD) card for expandable storage.
- Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the device.
- Insert the provided SIM needle into the small hole on the tray to eject it.
- Place your Nano-SIM cards and/or TF card into the designated slots on the tray. Ensure correct orientation as indicated on the tray.
- Carefully reinsert the tray into the phone until it clicks into place.

Note: This device supports GSM carriers such as T-Mobile and Metro PCS. It does NOT support AT&T, Cricket, or CDMA carriers like Verizon and Sprint. Verify compatibility with your local network bands before use.
1.3 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your Ulefone Armor X5 using the provided AC power charger adapter and data cable. Connect the data cable to the phone's charging port and the adapter, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
1.4 Power On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the Power button until the Ulefone logo appears.
- To power off: Press and hold the Power button, then select "Power off" from the options on the screen.
2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Android 11 Operating System
Your Ulefone Armor X5 runs on the Android 11 operating system, offering an updated user experience with enhanced privacy controls and improved notification management.
2.2 Display and Navigation
The device features a 5.5-inch HD+ display. Navigate the interface using touch gestures: tap to select, swipe to scroll, pinch to zoom.
2.3 Camera Functions
The Armor X5 is equipped with a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
- Standard Photography: Open the Camera app to capture photos and videos.
- Underwater Mode: This mode allows you to take photos underwater. Activate it through the camera settings or by assigning it to the customized button.
2.4 Customized Button
The customized button on the left side of the phone can be configured for quick access to various functions, including:
- Video recording
- Flashlight
- Screenshot
- Underwater photography
- SOS emergency call
- Push-to-Talk (PTT) function
- Launching any built-in or downloaded application
To configure the customized button, navigate to Settings > Smart Assistant > Customized Key.
2.5 NFC and Google Pay
The device supports Near Field Communication (NFC) for contactless payments and data exchange. Set up Google Pay for secure mobile payments.

2.6 Face Unlock
Unlock your phone quickly and securely using face recognition technology. Set up Face Unlock in Settings > Security & Location > Face Unlock.

Activate Gloves Mode in settings to enable touchscreen operation while wearing gloves, useful in cold environments or for specific work conditions.
2.8 OTG Function
The Armor X5 supports On-The-Go (OTG) functionality, allowing it to act as a host for USB devices. This enables reverse charging to other devices or data transmission with USB peripherals.
3. Maintenance
3.1 Rugged Protection
The Ulefone Armor X5 is designed to be rugged, meeting IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810G standards for water, dust, and shock resistance. This means it can withstand:
- Immersion in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.
- Submission in 1 meter of concrete for up to 24 hours.
- Drops from up to 1.2 meters.
Each port and opening is protected to block water, dirt, and sand. Ensure all port covers are securely closed to maintain water and dust resistance.

3.2 Cleaning
To clean your device, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these may damage the device's protective coatings. For thorough cleaning after exposure to dirt or saltwater, rinse the phone gently with fresh water and ensure all ports are dry before charging or opening.
3.3 Battery Care
The device is equipped with a 5000mAh non-removable battery. To prolong battery life:
- Avoid extreme temperatures.
- Do not fully discharge the battery regularly.
- Use only the provided charger and cable.
4. Troubleshooting
4.1 Network Connectivity Issues
If your Armor X5 cannot connect to data or has no signal with your carrier, you may need to manually configure the Access Point Name (APN) settings.
- Insert your Operator SIM card.
- Go to Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Advanced > Access point Names.
- Here you can add a new APN (using the '+' icon) or edit an existing one.
- To find the correct APN parameters, contact your mobile network operator, or refer to their website. Alternatively, you can find another handset with a working SIM card from the same operator, navigate to its APN settings, and copy the parameters to your Armor X5.
4.2 Device Freezing or Unresponsive
If the device becomes unresponsive, press and hold the Power button for approximately 10-15 seconds to force a restart.
4.3 Factory Reset
If persistent software issues occur, a factory reset may resolve them. Warning: A factory reset will erase all data on your phone. Back up important data before proceeding. To perform a factory reset, go to Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset).
