5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and safe operation of your electric pressure cooker.

Cleaning the Inner Pot:

The stainless steel inner pot can be washed with warm, soapy water. For stubborn food residues, soak the pot before cleaning. The inner pot is not dishwasher safe.

Cleaning the Lid:

Remove the sealing ring, steam release valve, and anti-block shield from the lid. Wash these components with warm, soapy water. Ensure the steam release valve and anti-block shield are clear of any food particles. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reassembling.

Cleaning the Main Unit:

Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid. Ensure the heating element and surrounding areas are clean and dry.

Storage:

Store the cooker in a dry place. It is recommended to store the lid inverted on the inner pot to prevent the sealing ring from compressing permanently.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Geek Robocook Zeta, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • Cooker not building pressure: Ensure the lid is properly closed and locked, and the steam release handle is set to 'Sealing'. Check if the sealing ring is correctly installed and not damaged.
  • Food not cooking properly: Verify that the correct cooking function and time were selected. Ensure sufficient liquid was added according to the recipe.
  • Error codes on display: Refer to the full user manual for specific error code meanings and solutions. Generally, unplugging the unit and plugging it back in after a few minutes can resolve minor electronic glitches.
  • Steam leaking from lid: Check the sealing ring for proper placement and any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the anti-block shield and steam release valve are clean and properly seated.
