4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly. It is recommended to have two people for some assembly steps.
- Attach Stabilizers: Secure the front and rear stabilizers to the main frame using the provided bolts and washers. Ensure they are firmly tightened.
- Install Seat Post and Seat: Insert the seat post into the main frame and adjust to your desired height. Secure the seat onto the seat post.
- Install Handlebar Post and Handlebar: Insert the handlebar post into the main frame. Attach the handlebar to the post and secure it.
- Attach Pedals: This step is crucial.
- Identify the Left (L) and Right (R) pedals.
- The left pedal must be screwed in counter-clockwise.
- The right pedal must be screwed in clockwise.
- Ensure pedals are fully tightened to prevent stripping.
- Connect LCD Display: Connect the sensor wires from the bike to the back of the LCD display. Mount the display onto the handlebar post.
5. Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the bike's features before starting your workout.
- Adjusting Resistance: The Dripex bike features infinite resistance. Turn the resistance knob clockwise to increase resistance and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Pushing the knob down acts as an emergency brake.
- LCD Display & Hand Pulse: The digital monitor tracks time, speed, distance, calories burned, and pulse.
- To measure your pulse, place your hands on the hand pulse sensors located on the handlebars.
- The display will cycle through various metrics automatically or can be manually set to a specific display.
- Adjusting Seat and Handlebar: The seat and handlebar are 6-way adjustable (up/down, forward/backward) to accommodate various user heights and preferences. Loosen the adjustment knobs, slide to the desired position, and re-tighten firmly.
- Moving the Bike: The bike is equipped with front foot tube wheels for easy transportation. Tilt the bike forward and roll it to your desired location.
