1. Product Overview
The SEBSON PIR Sensor Ceiling Indoor 360° is an infrared motion detector designed for automatic control of lighting based on detected movement and ambient light conditions. It offers versatile installation options, allowing for both flush and surface mounting on ceilings. This sensor is ideal for energy-efficient lighting control in various indoor environments.

2. Setup and Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure the main power supply is switched off at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock. This device requires a 3-wire connection (Live, Neutral, Switched Live).
2.1 Wiring
Connect the sensor according to the wiring diagram. The terminals are clearly marked for Live (L), Neutral (N), and Switched Live (L').

2.2 Mounting Options
The sensor can be installed in two ways: flush-mounted into a ceiling opening or surface-mounted using the provided adapter.
2.2.1 Flush Mounting
For flush mounting, a circular opening of 61-70mm diameter is required in the ceiling. The sensor is secured by spring clips that retract to fit into the hole and then expand to hold the sensor in place.
2.2.2 Surface Mounting
For surface mounting, attach the separate mounting ring to the ceiling using screws. Once the wiring is complete, the sensor unit twists and locks into this ring.

2.3 Dimensions and Clearance
Ensure adequate space for installation. The overall dimensions are Ø79x40mm, with a mounting hole requirement of 61-70mm for flush installation.

3. Operating Instructions
The SEBSON PIR Sensor features adjustable settings for detection time and ambient light sensitivity, allowing customization to specific environmental needs.
3.1 Time Delay Adjustment
The 'TIME' dial controls how long the connected light remains on after motion is no longer detected. It can be adjusted from a minimum of 10 seconds to a maximum of 30 minutes.
3.2 Ambient Light Sensitivity (LUX) Adjustment
The 'LUX' dial determines the ambient brightness level at which the sensor will activate. This allows the light to only switch on when the natural light is insufficient. The range is from 3 LUX (darkness) to 2000 LUX (daylight).

Figure 3.1: Side view of the sensor, clearly showing the 'TIME' and 'LUX' adjustment dials and their respective functions.

Figure 3.2: A detailed view of the 'TIME' and 'LUX' dials, indicating the adjustment ranges for each setting.
3.3 Detection Area
The sensor has a 360° detection angle and a maximum range of 8 meters (at <24°C). Optimal installation height is typically between 2.2m and 4m for effective coverage.

4. Maintenance
The SEBSON PIR Sensor requires minimal maintenance. To ensure optimal performance:
- Regularly clean the sensor lens with a soft, dry cloth to prevent dust accumulation, which can affect detection accuracy.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the plastic housing or lens.
- Ensure the sensor is not obstructed by furniture, curtains, or other objects that could block its detection field.
- There are no user-serviceable parts inside the unit. Do not attempt to open or repair the sensor.
5. Troubleshooting
If the sensor is not functioning as expected, consider the following common issues and solutions:
5.1 Light Does Not Turn On
- Check Power Supply: Ensure the main power supply to the sensor is on.
- Verify Wiring: Confirm all electrical connections (Live, Neutral, Switched Live) are correct and secure.
- Adjust LUX Setting: The ambient light might be too high. Turn the 'LUX' dial towards the sun symbol (daylight) to test if the sensor activates in brighter conditions, or towards the moon symbol (darkness) if you want it to activate only in low light.
- Test Detection: Walk within the sensor's detection range to confirm motion is being registered.
- Check Connected Load: Ensure the connected light bulb or fixture is working and within the sensor's maximum wattage limits (1200W for incandescent, 600W for LED/energy-saving lamps).
5.2 Light Stays On Constantly
- Check for Constant Motion: Ensure there is no continuous motion within the detection area (e.g., pets, swaying curtains, ventilation drafts).
- Adjust TIME Setting: The 'TIME' delay might be set to its maximum. Reduce the time setting to see if the light turns off after the set delay.
- Verify Wiring: Incorrect wiring can sometimes cause the light to remain on. Double-check the connections.
5.3 Light Turns On/Off Randomly
- Check for Interference: Sources of heat or rapid temperature changes (e.g., heating vents, direct sunlight, air conditioning) can sometimes trigger PIR sensors.
- Adjust Sensitivity: The sensor might be too sensitive. Adjust the 'LUX' setting to require more darkness before activation.
- Obstructions: Ensure there are no partial obstructions that might intermittently block and unblock the sensor's view.
