4. Installation Guide

Please read all instructions carefully before beginning installation. It is recommended to have a second person assist with the installation process, especially when handling the TV.

4.1 Tools Required (Not Included)

  • Pencil
  • Stud Finder (for wood stud installation)
  • Drill with appropriate drill bits (e.g., 10mm for concrete/brick)
  • Level
  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Socket Wrench or Spanner
  • Measuring Tape

4.2 Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Attach TV Brackets to TV: Carefully place your TV face down on a soft, clean surface. Identify the VESA mounting holes on the back of your TV. Select the appropriate screws, washers, and spacers from the provided hardware kit that fit your TV's mounting holes. Attach the two vertical TV brackets to the back of your TV, ensuring they are centered and securely fastened. Do not overtighten.
  2. Mount Wall Plate to Wall: Determine the desired height for your TV. Use a stud finder to locate a wood stud if installing on drywall with a stud, or mark the drilling points for concrete/brick. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. Secure the wall plate of the bracket to the wall using the provided lag bolts and anchors (if applicable). Use a level to ensure the wall plate is perfectly horizontal.
  3. Hang TV onto Wall Plate: With assistance, carefully lift the TV with the attached brackets and hook them onto the wall plate. Ensure the TV is securely seated on the wall plate. Tighten any safety screws or locking mechanisms to prevent accidental dislodgement.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and safe operation of your TV wall bracket, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Over time, vibrations or adjustments can cause fasteners to loosen.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the bracket with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Lubrication: If the swivel or tilt mechanisms become stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the moving joints. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust.
  • Weight Limit: Never exceed the maximum weight capacity of 20kg. Overloading can lead to structural failure and damage to your TV or property.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your PERLESMITH TV Wall Bracket, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
TV feels wobbly or loose on the mount. Mounting screws or bolts are loose; TV not properly seated on the wall plate. Ensure all screws attaching the TV brackets to the TV are tight. Verify the TV is fully engaged with the wall plate and any safety screws are secured. Check wall plate bolts for tightness.
Bracket is difficult to swivel or tilt. Joints may be stiff or require lubrication. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving joints. Work the mechanism back and forth to distribute the lubricant.
TV is not level after installation. Wall plate not installed level; TV brackets not aligned. Check the wall plate with a level. If necessary, adjust the wall plate or the TV brackets to achieve a level display. Some mounts have fine-tuning level adjustments.
