4. Setup and Installation

This shower tray is designed for freestanding installation. Proper preparation of the subfloor and plumbing is crucial for a successful and leak-free installation.

4.2. Pre-Installation Steps

4.3. Installation Procedure

3. Position the Tray: Carefully lower the shower tray onto the mortar bed, aligning the drain opening with the floor plumbing. Press firmly to ensure full contact.
4. Level the Tray: Use a spirit level to check that the tray is perfectly level in all directions. Adjust as needed while the mortar is still workable.
5. Connect Plumbing: Connect the drain waste assembly to the main drainage pipe. Ensure all connections are secure and watertight.
6. Water Test: Before sealing the perimeter, perform a water test by pouring water into the tray and checking for any leaks around the drain and connections.
7. Seal Perimeter: Once satisfied with the installation and water test, apply a high-quality silicone sealant around the perimeter of the shower tray where it meets the walls and floor. This creates a waterproof barrier.
