1. Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps:

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the soup maker and all its components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if desired.
2. Clean: Wash the inside of the stainless steel jug and the blending blade (located on the underside of the lid) with warm, soapy water. Wipe the exterior of the jug and the top of the lid with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried before assembly. Do not immerse the lid (motor unit) in water.
3. Placement: Place the soup maker on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter.
4. Assembly: Ensure the lid is correctly aligned and securely placed on the jug. The appliance will not operate if the lid is not properly seated.
5. Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The appliance is now ready for use.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to prepare your desired meal or beverage:

1. Prepare Ingredients: Cut solid ingredients into small pieces (approximately 2-3 cm) to ensure optimal blending and cooking.
2. Add Ingredients: Place all desired ingredients into the stainless steel jug. Ensure the total volume of ingredients (including liquids) is between the 'MIN' (800ml) and 'MAX' (1000ml) fill lines marked inside the jug. Overfilling or underfilling can affect performance and safety.

3. Secure Lid: Place the lid onto the jug and turn it clockwise until it locks securely into place. The appliance will not start if the lid is not properly closed.
4. Select Program: Plug in the appliance. Use the 'MODE' button on the control panel to cycle through the available programs:
   • SMOOTH: For creamy soups and sauces.
   • CHUNKY: For soups with larger pieces of ingredients.
   • COMPOTE: For fruit compotes or purees.
   • JUICE: For blending cold beverages or smoothies.
   • RE-HEAT: To warm up pre-cooked soups or liquids.
   • BLEND: Manual blending function for desired consistency.
   The selected program will be indicated on the digital display.

6. Completion: Once the program is complete, the appliance will usually beep and/or the display will show 'END'.
7. Serve: Unplug the appliance from the power outlet. Carefully remove the lid. Using the handle, pour the contents into a bowl or serving dish. Be cautious of hot steam and contents.

8. Cool Down: Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your soup maker.

1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Clean Jug: Wash the inside of the stainless steel jug with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn residue, you may fill the jug with warm soapy water and let it soak for a few minutes before scrubbing. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Clean Lid and Blade: Carefully clean the blending blade and the underside of the lid with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Use a small brush if necessary to remove food particles from around the blade. Never immerse the lid (motor unit) in water or place it under running water, as this can damage the electrical components.
4. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the jug and the top of the lid with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surfaces.
5. Dry and Store: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the appliance. Store in a dry place.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DOMO DO1004BL soup maker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Appliance does not turn on:
  • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
  • Ensure the lid is correctly and securely placed on the jug. The appliance has a safety mechanism that prevents operation if the lid is not properly closed.
