- Retention System: Always fasten the micrometric buckle securely under your chin. The strap should be tight enough that the helmet cannot be pulled off.
- Visor Use: Keep the visor clean and free from obstructions. Use the visor for eye protection during riding.
- Damage Inspection: Regularly inspect your helmet for any signs of damage, such as cracks, dents, or worn straps. A damaged helmet must be replaced immediately.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Wearing the Helmet
- Hold the helmet by the chin straps with the open side facing you.
- Grasp the chin straps and pull them apart to widen the helmet opening.
- Slide the helmet onto your head, ensuring it sits level and covers your forehead.
- Adjust the helmet so it feels snug and comfortable, without excessive pressure points.
5.2. Securing the Retention System
After placing the helmet on your head, always secure the micrometric buckle.
- Fasten the buckle as described in Section 4.3.

6. Maintenance and Care
6.1. Cleaning the Outer Shell
Clean the polycarbonate outer shell with a soft cloth, warm water, and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and material integrity. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft, clean cloth.
6.2. Cleaning the Visor and VPS Sun Shield
The visor and sun shield are scratch-resistant but can still be damaged by improper cleaning.
- Rinse with lukewarm water to remove loose dirt and dust.
- Gently clean with a soft, lint-free cloth and mild soap solution.
- Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean, soft cloth. Do not rub vigorously.
- Never use paper towels, abrasive cloths, or chemical cleaners on the visor or sun shield.
6.3. Cleaning the Inner Padding
The inner padding is removable for cleaning.
- Carefully remove the padding components according to the instructions in your printed manual.
- Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Allow to air dry completely before re-installing into the helmet.
6.4. Storage
Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a helmet bag to protect it from dust and scratches. Do not store the helmet near chemicals or solvents.
7. Troubleshooting
-
Visor Fogging:
Ensure the helmet's ventilation system is open. If fogging persists, consider using an anti-fog treatment or a Pinlock® anti-fog insert (if compatible and available for your model).
-
Discomfort or Pressure Points:
Check the helmet size and fit. A helmet that is too tight or too loose can cause discomfort. Ensure the inner padding is correctly seated. If discomfort persists, consult with a helmet specialist.
-
Visor Not Operating Smoothly:
Check for dirt or debris around the visor mechanism. Clean the mechanism carefully. If the issue continues, inspect for damage or wear on the pivot points.
-
Retention System Issues:
Ensure the micrometric buckle is clean and free of debris. If the buckle is difficult to fasten or release, inspect for damage. Do not force the mechanism.
