4. Installation

The OBI9000-E is designed for quick and simple installation. Follow these steps carefully for optimal performance.

4.1. Mounting Location

• Select a flat, secure surface on your vessel's dashboard or console.
• Ensure the location allows for clear visibility of the LED indicators and easy access to the control buttons.

4.2. Installation Steps

5. Operating Instructions

The OBI9000-E provides intuitive control over your trim tabs. The LED indicators show the current position of each trim tab.

5.1. Basic Operation

• Individual Trim Tab Control:
  • Press the "BOW UP" button for the respective side (PORT or STBD) to raise the bow of the boat by lowering the trim tab.
  • Press the "DN" button for the respective side (PORT or STBD) to lower the bow of the boat by raising the trim tab.
• Synchronized Trim Tab Control:
  • Press the "ALL UP" button to raise both trim tabs simultaneously, which will lower the bow of the boat.
  • Press the "ALL DN" button to lower both trim tabs simultaneously, which will raise the bow of the boat.

5.2. LED Indication

The LED bars on the left (PORT) and right (STBD) sides of the control unit indicate the position of each trim tab. More illuminated LEDs typically mean the trim tab is further down (bow up), while fewer illuminated LEDs mean the trim tab is further up (bow down).

5.3. Brightness Adjustment

The crescent moon button (usually on the top left) allows adjustment of the LED brightness. Pressing this button cycles through different brightness levels or activates an automatic brightness mode using the integrated light sensor.
