Setup and Assembly

Before first use, sterilize all parts that come into contact with breast milk (flanges, bottles, valves, membranes) by boiling them in water for 5 minutes or using a steam sterilizer.

1. Prepare the Pump Unit:

   Connect the AC adapter to the pump unit and plug it into a wall outlet. Alternatively, for portable use, the pump can be powered by 6 AA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the underside of the pump and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

2. Assemble Flange and Bottle:

   Insert a valve into the bottom of the flange. Ensure the membrane is securely attached to the valve. Screw a milk collection bottle onto the bottom of the flange assembly.

3. Connect Tubing:

   Attach one end of the tubing to the top of each flange connector. Connect the other end of the tubing to the ports on the front of the pump unit. For single pumping, connect one tube to either port and cap the other port if available, or ensure the unused side is sealed according to instructions.

4. Choose Flange Size:

   Select the appropriate flange insert (24.5mm or 28.0mm) that best fits your nipple size for optimal comfort and milk expression. Insert it firmly into the main flange.

Operating Instructions

The Evenflo Deluxe Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump offers adjustable speed and suction settings to customize your pumping experience.

1. Power On:

   Press the power button to turn on the pump. It will start in a gentle stimulation mode to encourage milk let-down.

2. Adjust Speed:

   Use the 'Speed' buttons to increase or decrease the cycling speed of the pump. Start with a faster speed to mimic a baby's initial rapid suckling.

3. Adjust Suction:

   Once milk begins to flow, use the 'Suction' buttons to increase or decrease the vacuum strength. Adjust to a comfortable level that allows for efficient milk expression without causing pain. Pumping should never be painful.

4. Pumping Modes:

   This pump supports both single and double pumping. For double pumping, ensure both tubing connections are secure. For single pumping, use one side and ensure the other port is properly sealed if applicable.

5. Power Off:

   Press the power button again to turn off the pump when finished.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning Instructions:

• After Each Use: Disassemble all parts that come into contact with breast milk (flanges, valves, membranes, bottles). Wash them immediately in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• Sterilization: Sterilize these parts daily by boiling for 5 minutes or using a dishwasher (top rack only) or a steam sterilizer.
• Tubing: The tubing does not come into contact with milk and typically does not need cleaning unless milk or condensation is visible. If cleaning is necessary, wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and hang to air dry completely before reattaching to the pump.
• Pump Unit: Wipe the exterior of the pump motor unit with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor unit in water.

Storage:

Store the clean and dry pump and its accessories in the provided universal pump shoulder bag or a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
