3. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the components of your dash cam:

The main unit features a front-facing camera lens, a 4.0-inch display on the back, control buttons (Mode, Up, OK/IO, Down, Menu), and various ports for power, rear camera connection, and memory card. The rear camera is a compact unit designed for external or internal mounting.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Inserting the MicroSD Card

Before installation, insert a high-speed (Class 10 or higher) MicroSD card (up to 32GB recommended) into the card slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is formatted within the dash cam settings for optimal performance.

4.2. Mounting the Front Dash Cam

1. Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the dash cam.
2. Attach the suction cup mount to the dash cam unit.
3. Press the suction cup firmly against the windshield and flip the lever to secure it. Position the camera to ensure a clear view of the road ahead without obstructing your driving view.
4. Connect the car charger to the dash cam's power input and plug the other end into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Route the cable neatly along the windshield edge and dashboard.

4.3. Installing the Rear Camera

The rear camera can be installed inside the rear window or externally near the license plate (if waterproof). Route the rear camera cable from the main unit to the rear of the vehicle. Connect the rear camera to the main unit's dedicated port.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when connected to power and your vehicle starts. It will power off automatically when the vehicle is turned off (if connected to a switched power source).

5.2. Recording Modes

• Normal Recording: Continuous recording while driving.
• Loop Recording: Videos are recorded in segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes). When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked file is overwritten.
• G-Sensor (Emergency Lock): In case of a sudden impact or collision, the G-sensor will automatically detect it and lock the current video file, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording.
• Parking Monitoring: When enabled, the dash cam will automatically start recording if it detects a collision or vibration while the vehicle is parked and the engine is off. This feature requires a continuous power supply (e.g., hardwire kit, not included).
• Motion Detection: When enabled, the dash cam will start recording automatically if it detects movement in its field of view while stationary.

6. Settings Menu

Press the "Menu" button to access the settings. Use "Up" and "Down" buttons to navigate and "OK/IO" to select. Common settings include:

• Resolution: Adjust video recording quality (e.g., 1296P, 1080P).
• Loop Recording: Set video segment length (Off/1/3/5 minutes).
• G-Sensor Sensitivity: Adjust sensitivity (Off/Low/Medium/High).
• Parking Monitor: Enable/Disable.
• Motion Detection: Enable/Disable.
• WDR: Enable/Disable.
• Date/Time: Set the correct date and time.
• Language: Select desired language.
• Format: Format the MicroSD card.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and screen. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• MicroSD Card: Format the MicroSD card regularly (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption. Replace the card if it shows signs of degradation.
• Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods, as this can affect battery life and component longevity.
