2. Safety Information

  • Do not look directly into the LED light. Direct exposure to the bright light can cause temporary vision impairment.
  • Keep the device out of reach of children.
  • Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity. Incorrect insertion can damage the device or cause battery leakage.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cap, typically at one end of the headlight unit.
  2. Unscrew or open the cap.
  3. Insert three (3) AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the indicators inside the compartment.
  4. Securely close the battery compartment cap.

5.2 Headband Adjustment

The elastic headband is adjustable to fit various head sizes. Pull the strap through the buckles to tighten or loosen it for a comfortable and secure fit.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off and Brightness Switching

The NICRON H40 features a simple ON/OFF and brightness switching mechanism:

  • Press the power button once to turn the headlight ON at its default brightness setting (200 lumens).
  • Press the power button again to switch to the lower brightness setting (45 lumens).
  • Press the power button a third time to turn the headlight OFF.

6.2 Head Angle Adjustment

The headlight unit can be tilted up to 45 degrees. Gently push or pull the light unit to adjust the beam angle to your desired position.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the headlight with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

7.2 Storage

Store the headlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries.

7.3 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the light output becomes dim or inconsistent. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1.
