4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the air conditioner from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport. Place the unit upright on a flat, stable surface.
4.2 Window Kit Installation
The included window kit is designed for easy installation in both hanging and sliding windows. The kit is adjustable to fit window heights/lengths from 36 inches to 50 inches.
- Assemble the window sealing plate by sliding the adjustable panels together to fit your window opening. Secure them with the provided screws.
- Open the window and place the assembled window sealing plate into the window opening. Extend the plate to fit snugly and close the window against it to secure.
- Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the exhaust outlet on the back of the air conditioner unit. Twist clockwise to secure.
- Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the adapter on the window sealing plate. Twist clockwise to secure.
- Ensure the exhaust hose is not kinked or bent sharply, as this can restrict airflow and reduce efficiency.
