Setup

  1. Charging the Battery: Before first use, fully charge the projector's internal battery using the provided USB cable and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.
  2. Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button on the top of the projector for a few seconds to turn it on or off.
  3. Placement: Place the projector on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the lens. For optimal viewing, project onto a smooth, light-colored wall or a projector screen.
  4. Connecting Devices:
    • HDMI Connection: Connect your source device (laptop, streaming stick, gaming console) to the projector's HDMI port using the provided HDMI cable.
    • USB Power for Streaming Devices: The projector features a dedicated compartment and USB port for powering compatible streaming devices. Open the back cover, insert your streaming device, and connect it to the internal USB port.

  5. Focus Adjustment: Use the focus wheel located near the lens to sharpen the projected image. Rotate it until the image appears clear and crisp.
  6. Keystone Correction: The M189 features automatic keystone correction to adjust for distorted images when the projector is not perfectly perpendicular to the screen. If manual adjustment is needed, refer to the operating section.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

  • Power Button: Located on the top panel. Press and hold to turn on/off.
  • Volume Control: Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the top panel to adjust the volume of the built-in speaker.
  • Input Source Selection: The projector automatically detects the active HDMI input. If multiple devices are connected, ensure the correct input is selected on your source device.

Projecting Content

Once your device is connected and the projector is powered on, the content from your source device should automatically display. Adjust focus and keystone as needed for the clearest image.

  • Optimal Viewing Distance: For an 80-inch picture, position the projector approximately 7 feet from the projection surface. Refer to the "Product Overview" section for a projection distance guide.
  • Audio Output: The projector has a built-in speaker. For enhanced audio, you can connect external speakers via the 3.5mm audio output jack (if available on your model, check specifications).
