5. Operating Instructions

The SILVERCREST UV Mite Vacuum Cleaner offers three integrated functions for thorough cleaning:

1. Power On: Press the power button located on the handle to turn on the appliance.
2. UV Disinfection Lamp: The UV-C lamp is designed to sterilize surfaces. It will only activate when the appliance is placed firmly on a surface and the power button is pressed. This auto-off safety feature prevents accidental UV exposure. Move the vacuum cleaner slowly over the surface to be disinfected.
3. Vacuum Mode: Simultaneously with the UV lamp, the vacuum function will activate. Guide the appliance over mattresses, pillows, or upholstery. The powerful suction will draw in dust, mites, and other particles.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Emptying the Dust Tank

1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Locate the dust tank release button/latch (usually on the top or side of the main unit).
3. Press the release and carefully remove the dust tank.
4. Empty the contents of the dust tank into a waste bin.
5. Reattach the dust tank securely until it clicks into place.

6.2. Cleaning the HEPA Filter

The HEPA filter is washable and should be cleaned regularly, depending on usage.

2. Rinse the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear. Do not use detergents or hot water.
