The KitchenAid KQ908 Digital Kitchen Scale features a sleek glass surface with stainless steel accent trim. It includes an oversized knob for setting units of measurement and a large 1.0" backlit display for easy reading. Setup Instructions

Unpack the Scale: Carefully remove the KitchenAid KQ908 Digital Kitchen Scale from its packaging.
Install Batteries: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Open the compartment and insert three (3) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
Placement: Place the scale on a flat, stable, and level surface to ensure accurate measurements. Avoid placing it near heat sources, strong vibrations, or drafts.
Initial Power On: Press the central rotating knob to turn on the scale. The display will illuminate and show "0.0" or "0g".

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

To turn on the scale, press the central rotating knob.
To turn off the scale, press and hold the central rotating knob for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale will also auto shut-off after 3 minutes of inactivity.

2. Selecting Units of Measurement

Rotate the central knob to cycle through the available units: pounds/ounces (lb oz), grams (g), fluid ounces (fl oz), and millilitres (ml).
The selected unit will be displayed on the screen.

3. Weighing Ingredients (Tare Function)

Place an empty container on the scale platform. The display will show the weight of the container.
Press the central rotating knob once to activate the Tare function. The display will reset to "0.0" or "0g".
Add your first ingredient to the container. The display will show the weight of the ingredient.
To add another ingredient, press the central rotating knob again to tare the scale to zero. Add the next ingredient. Repeat this process for all ingredients.
To view the total weight of all ingredients and the container, remove the container from the scale. The display will show a negative value representing the total weight.

Maintenance

Cleaning: The glass surface is naturally stain and odor-free. To clean, wipe the scale with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly immediately after use.
Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the scale in water or place it in a dishwasher, as this will damage the electronic components.
Battery Replacement: When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the three (3) AAA batteries. Ensure proper polarity during replacement.
Storage: Store the scale in a dry place away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
