3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the JFA Power Supply and Charger from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. If damage is found, do not use the device and contact customer support.

3.2 Placement

Place the unit on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure there is sufficient space around the cooling fan for unrestricted airflow. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

3.3 Connecting to Power

  1. Ensure the power supply is switched off.
  2. Connect the AC power cord to the power supply unit.
  3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard, grounded electrical outlet.

3.4 Connecting to Battery/Load

  1. Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) output terminals on the JFA Power Supply and Charger.
  2. Connect the positive (+) cable from your battery or load to the red (+) terminal on the power supply.
  3. Connect the negative (-) cable from your battery or load to the black (-) terminal on the power supply.
  4. Ensure all connections are secure and free from short circuits.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, flip the main power switch to the "ON" position. The digital display and indicator LEDs will illuminate.
  • To power off, flip the main power switch to the "OFF" position.

4.2 Displaying Voltage and Current

Use the Reading Mode Selector button on the control panel to toggle between displaying the output voltage and the output current on the digital display. The corresponding indicator LED (Tensão for Voltage, Corrente for Current) will light up to show the active display mode.

4.3 Charging a Battery

  1. Ensure the battery is correctly connected to the output terminals as described in Section 3.4.
  2. Power on the unit.
  3. Select the appropriate charging mode using the Operation Mode Selector button. Refer to the device's specific charging profiles if available (e.g., "Auto SCI 14.4V").
  4. Monitor the Charge Indicator LEDs to track the battery's charging progress (15%, 50%, 80%). The "Bateria Carregada" (Battery Charged) LED will illuminate when charging is complete.
  5. Once fully charged, you may disconnect the battery or leave it connected for maintenance charging if the unit supports it.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Before cleaning, ensure the unit is powered off and disconnected from the AC outlet and any connected batteries/loads. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components. Keep the cooling fan vents clear of dust and debris.

5.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the power supply in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is disconnected from all power sources.
