Introduction
The EGO Nexus Power Station is a battery-powered alternative to gas generators that delivers clean, quiet, portable power. This model, PST3040, is sold as a tool-only unit, meaning batteries and charger are not included and must be purchased separately. It’s safe to use indoors and out, offering endless possibilities for powering devices. Use it for tailgating to power slow cookers or griddles, as an emergency backup for TVs, microwaves, and full-sized refrigerators during power outages, or for camping trips to plug in lights, fans, induction cooktops, and play music. The EGO Nexus Power Station is compatible with all EGO ARC Lithium 56 Volt batteries, allowing you to use one battery or up to four for extended power. All EGO batteries are compatible with all EGO tools, providing seamless integration into your EGO POWER+ ecosystem.

Setup
- Unboxing and Inspection: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the power station for any signs of damage. Ensure all listed components (power station, line charger and front/rear vent covers, manual, family card, register) are present.
- Battery Installation: The PST3040 requires EGO ARC Lithium 56 Volt batteries (sold separately). Insert one to four fully charged batteries into the designated slots on the power station. Ensure they click securely into place.
- Initial Charging (if applicable): If using batteries for the first time or if they are not fully charged, connect them to an EGO charger (sold separately) until fully charged. The power station itself does not charge the batteries directly from an AC input.

Operating Instructions
- Powering On: Press the main power button on the front panel of the power station. The LCD display will illuminate, showing battery status and estimated run time.
- Connecting Devices: Lift the protective covers over the AC outlets and USB ports. Plug your devices into the appropriate outlets. The power station features three 120V AC outlets and multiple USB ports (USB-A and USB-C) for versatile connectivity.
- Monitoring Power Output: The LCD display provides real-time information on power output (watts) and remaining battery life (hours/minutes). This helps you manage your power consumption effectively.
- Hot-Swapping Batteries: The EGO Nexus Power Station supports hot-swapping of batteries. If a battery runs low, you can remove it and insert a fully charged one without interrupting power to connected devices, provided other batteries are still supplying power.
- Overload Protection: The unit is equipped with overload protection. If the connected devices draw more power than the station can supply (3000W peak, 2000W continuous), it may shut down to prevent damage. Reduce the load and restart the unit if this occurs.

Maintenance
- Battery Care: Always store EGO ARC Lithium batteries in a cool, dry place. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging batteries before recharging. Recharge batteries regularly, especially if stored for extended periods.

- Storage: When not in use, store the power station in a dry, protected area. Remove batteries if storing for a long duration.

- Unit Not Powering On: Ensure batteries are properly inserted and fully charged. Check the main power button.
- No Power Output: Verify the power station is turned on. Check if the connected device is functioning correctly. Reduce the load if an overload indicator is present on the display.
- Overload Shutdown: If the unit shuts down unexpectedly, it may be due to an overload. Disconnect some devices and restart the power station.
- Reduced Run Time: Battery run time can vary based on the number and type of devices connected, as well as battery age and charge level. Ensure batteries are fully charged and consider using more batteries or higher capacity batteries for longer operation.
