This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your ARREGUI 51300-S3B Electronic Safe. Please read these instructions carefully before using the safe to ensure proper function and security.
2. Safety Information
- Do not store the emergency keys inside the safe. Keep them in a secure, separate location.
- Ensure the safe is securely mounted to prevent unauthorized removal.
- Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears to avoid being locked out.
- Keep the safe away from excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Do not attempt to force the safe open if the electronic lock malfunctions. Use the emergency key.

4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Open the safe door using the emergency key. Insert the key into the keyhole, turn it clockwise, and rotate the handle to open.
- Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
- Insert the four AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
- Test the electronic lock by entering the default code (usually "1234" or "123456") and pressing "E" or "#". The display should show "OPEN" and the handle can be turned.

4.2. Mounting the Safe
For optimal security, it is recommended to securely mount the safe to a wall or floor.
- Choose a suitable location, ensuring it is a solid surface capable of supporting the safe's weight.
- Open the safe door and locate the pre-drilled mounting holes on the back or bottom panel.
- Mark the drilling points on the wall or floor through the holes.
- Drill pilot holes using an appropriate drill bit for your wall/floor material.
- Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided mounting hardware (screws and anchors).
- Ensure the safe is firmly attached and does not wobble.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Opening the Safe (User Code)
- Enter your 4-6 digit user code on the keypad.
- Press the "E" or "#" button.
- If the code is correct, the display will show "OPEN". Within 5 seconds, turn the handle clockwise and pull the door open.
- If the code is incorrect, the display will show "ERROR". Re-enter the code.
5.2. Closing the Safe
Close the door and turn the handle counter-clockwise until it is fully locked. The safe will automatically lock.
5.3. Setting/Changing the User Code
- With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door (usually near the hinge). The display will show "PROG" or "SET".
- Enter your new 4-6 digit user code.
- Press the "E" or "#" button to confirm. The display will show "GOOD" or "SUCCESS".
- Test the new code with the door open before closing it.
5.4. Using the Master Code (Hotel Function)
The safe includes a master code function, typically used by hotel management. This code can open the safe even if a user code is set. Consult your administrator for the master code if applicable.
- Enter the master code on the keypad.
- Press the "E" or "#" button.
- If the code is correct, the display will show "OPEN". Turn the handle clockwise and pull the door open.
5.5. Using the Emergency Key
The emergency key provides manual access to the safe in case of battery failure or forgotten codes.
- Locate the emergency keyhole, usually hidden behind a small cover on the keypad panel.
- Remove the cover.
- Insert the emergency key and turn it clockwise.
- While holding the key turned, rotate the handle clockwise to open the safe door.
- Once open, remove the key and replace the cover.
6. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: When the display shows "LOW BATT" or similar, replace all four AA batteries promptly. Use high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Wipe the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Door Hinges: Periodically check the door hinges for smooth operation. Apply a small amount of lubricant if necessary.
- Emergency Keys: Store emergency keys in a secure location outside the safe. Do not duplicate them without authorization.
7. Troubleshooting
