Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: If you notice cursor lag or inconsistent clicks, it may be time to replace the AA battery. A high-quality AA battery typically lasts about 2-3 months with 8 hours/day use.
- Cleaning: To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the mouse. If the scroll wheel skips or scrolls erratically, dust on the wheel sensor may be the cause. Blow compressed air along the wheel gap, then spin the wheel fast for 5 seconds to re-sync.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, turn off the mouse using the power switch to conserve battery life. Store the USB receiver in its dedicated slot under the mouse to prevent loss.
Troubleshooting
- Cursor Lag After Inactivity: The TM209G enters sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity to save battery. Simply click any button to instantly wake it; the cursor will respond normally.
- Scroll Wheel Skips or Scrolls Erratically: This is often caused by dust on the wheel sensor. Blow compressed air along the wheel gap, then spin the wheel fast for 5 seconds to re-sync.
- Mouse Stopped Working:
- Ensure the power switch on the bottom of the mouse is in the 'ON' position.
- Verify the USB receiver is inserted directly into a native USB-A port on your computer (avoid USB hubs or adapters).
- Replace the AA battery with a fresh one.
- Restart your computer.
- Adjustment to Ergonomic Shape: The 57° vertical angle is designed to keep your wrist in a natural handshake position, reducing tension. New users may require 2-3 days to fully adjust to the feel of the ergonomic design.
