2. Safety Information

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Robot

Before first use, fully charge the robot. Place the charging dock against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1 meter to the sides and 2 meters in front. Connect the power adapter to the dock and a power outlet. Place the robot on the charging dock, aligning its charging contacts with those on the dock. The charging indicator will illuminate.

5.2 Installing Side Brushes and Mop

  • Attach the side brushes by pressing them onto the corresponding posts on the bottom of the robot until they click into place.
  • If using the mopping function, fill the water tank (if applicable) and attach the mop cloth to the mop attachment. Slide the mop attachment into the designated slot on the robot's underside.

5.3 Connecting to the Mobile App (IKOHS Home)

For full functionality, download the 'IKOHS Home' app from your device's app store (Android/iOS). Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to your home Wi-Fi network. This will enable advanced features like mapping, scheduling, and remote control.

5.4 Preparing the Cleaning Area

Before starting a cleaning cycle, clear the area of any loose cables, small objects, or fragile items that could obstruct the robot or get tangled in its brushes. The robot can cross obstacles up to 1.8 cm, such as carpets and rugs.

6. Operating the Robot

6.1 Cleaning Modes

The NETBOT S18 offers multiple cleaning modes:

  • Auto Clean: The robot intelligently navigates and cleans the entire area.
  • Spot Clean: Cleans a specific concentrated area.
  • Edge Clean: Cleans along walls and furniture edges.
  • Mop Mode: For wet cleaning (requires mop attachment and water tank).

6.2 Starting a Cleaning Cycle

  • From the Robot: Press the Power/Clean button on the robot's top panel.
  • Using the Remote Control: Use the dedicated buttons on the remote control to start, pause, select cleaning modes, or send the robot back to the charging dock.
  • Using the Mobile App: Open the IKOHS Home app, select your robot, and choose your desired cleaning mode or schedule.

6.3 Smart Features

  • Mapping: The robot uses gyroscopic mapping to memorize cleaning routes in real-time, improving efficiency. You can view the cleaning map in the app.
  • Scheduling: Set daily or weekly cleaning schedules via the mobile app for automated cleaning.
  • Voice Control: The NETBOT S18 is compatible with Alexa and Google Home. Link your robot to your smart home assistant to start or stop cleaning with voice commands.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum cleaner.

7.1 Emptying the Dustbin

Press the dustbin release button, pull out the dustbin, and empty its contents into a trash can. It is recommended to empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle.

7.2 Cleaning the Filters

Remove the HEPA filter and sponge filter from the dustbin. Tap them gently to remove dust. Do not wash the HEPA filter with water. The sponge filter can be rinsed with water and air-dried completely before reinstallation. Replace filters every 3-6 months, or as needed.

7.3 Cleaning the Main Brush and Side Brushes

Remove the main brush cover and lift out the main brush. Use the provided cleaning tool to remove hair and debris tangled around the brush. Remove the side brushes and clean any hair or debris from them and their posts. Reinstall them securely.

7.4 Cleaning the Water Tank and Mop Cloth

After mopping, remove the water tank and empty any remaining water. Rinse the tank thoroughly. Remove the mop cloth and wash it by hand or machine. Allow both to air dry completely before reattaching.

7.5 Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts

Wipe the anti-drop sensors (located on the bottom) and anti-collision sensors (located on the front bumper) with a clean, dry cloth. Also, wipe the charging contacts on both the robot and the charging dock to ensure good connection.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your robot, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
