1. Product Overview

2. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the fan and retain this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your KDK N40HS Living Fan:

  1. Attach the Base: Place the stand pole onto the base and secure it firmly using the provided screws or locking mechanism. Ensure the pole is stable and does not wobble.
  2. Mount the Motor Unit: Attach the fan motor unit to the top of the stand pole. Align the grooves and secure it with the locking screw or knob.
  3. Install Rear Grille: Place the rear grille onto the motor unit, ensuring it fits securely over the motor shaft.
  4. Attach Fan Blade: Slide the plastic fan blade onto the motor shaft. Secure it with the blade fixing nut, turning it clockwise until tight.
  5. Install Front Grille: Position the front grille over the rear grille, aligning the clips or tabs. Secure both grilles together using the grille fixing nut or clips provided. Ensure the grilles are tightly fastened to prevent accidental contact with the blades.
  6. Adjust Height: Loosen the height adjustment knob on the stand pole, adjust the fan to your desired height (between 128cm and 143cm), and then firmly tighten the knob.

5. Operation

Control Panel Functions:

  • POWER Button: Press to turn the fan ON or OFF.
  • SPEED Button: Cycles through the three available fan speeds (Low, Medium, High). The current speed setting is indicated by an LED light.
  • 1/f YURAGI (BLINK) Button: Activates the 1/f Yuragi function, which simulates a natural, gentle breeze by varying the fan speed. Press again to deactivate.
  • TIMER Button: Sets the electronic off-timer. Press repeatedly to cycle through timer settings (e.g., 0.5H, 1H, 2H, 4H, 6H). The fan will automatically turn off after the selected duration.
  • Oscillation: To activate oscillation, push down the oscillation pin located on top of the motor housing. To stop oscillation, pull the pin up.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your fan.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the fan from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan (base, pole, motor housing) with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the finish.
  3. Grille and Blades: To clean the fan blades and inside the grilles, you may need to carefully remove the front grille. 7. Troubleshooting
