1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions before using this air circulator. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
  • Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • Always unplug the fan before moving, cleaning, or servicing.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • This product is intended for indoor, household use only.

2. Product Overview

The Vornado 154 Whole Room Tower Air Circulator Fan utilizes Vornado's signature V-Flow Technology to provide complete circulation of all the air in a room. Its unique crosscut outlet creates a wide span of constant airflow, eliminating the need for a wobbly oscillating base. This model features 4 speed settings and an energy-saving LED timer.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

  • Carefully remove the air circulator from its packaging.
  • Retain the packaging for off-season storage or if you need to transport the unit.
  • Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.

3.2 Placement

For optimal performance, place the Vornado 154 in a location where its V-Flow Technology can effectively circulate air throughout the entire room. Avoid placing it directly against walls or in corners that might obstruct airflow.

3.3 Power Connection

  • Ensure the unit is turned off before plugging it in.
  • Plug the 2-prong power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The cord length is approximately 6 feet.

4. Operating Instructions

The Vornado 154 features intuitive controls located on the top of the unit and can also be operated via a remote control (if included with your model).

4.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the Power Button (circular button with a vertical line and a circle) to turn the unit ON or OFF.
  • When turned ON, the unit will default to the highest speed setting.

4.2 Speed Settings

  • The Vornado 154 has 4 speed settings.
  • Press the Speed Button (often indicated by fan blades or multiple lines) repeatedly to cycle through the available speeds (e.g., High, Medium-High, Medium-Low, Low).
  • The LED indicators on the control panel will illuminate to show the current speed setting.

4.3 Timer Settings

  • The unit features an energy-saving LED timer with options for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours.
  • Press the Timer Button (often indicated by a clock symbol or numbers) repeatedly to select the desired shut-off time.
  • The corresponding LED indicator will light up to confirm the selected timer duration. The unit will automatically turn off after the set time.
  • To disable the timer, cycle through the options until no timer LED is illuminated, or turn the unit off and then on again.

4.4 Remote Control

A remote control is included for convenient operation of the fan's power, speed, and timer functions from a distance. Ensure the remote has working batteries and is pointed towards the fan's control panel for best reception.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning of your Vornado air circulator will ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.

5.1 Cleaning the Unit

  • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces of the fan.
  • To clean between the grilles, a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment can be used to remove accumulated dust.
  • Do not use gasoline, thinners, solvents, or other chemicals for cleaning, as these may damage the unit.
  • Do not immerse the unit in water or allow water to drip into the motor housing.

5.2 Storage

When not in use for an extended period, store the air circulator in its original box or cover it to protect it from dust. Store in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting
