2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Assembly
Note: Two adults are required for safe and proper installation. Refer to the assembly video for visual guidance.

4.1. Connecting Roller Tubes
Connect the two roller tube sections (A-1 and A-2) using the provided screws (A-A-1). Ensure they are securely fastened to form a single, long roller tube.

4.2. Connecting Front Bars
Join the two front bar sections (C-1 and C-2) together. Secure them with the appropriate fasteners (A-A-1).
4.3. Connecting Torsion Bars
Connect the torsion bars (B-1 and B-2). Important: Do NOT remove the safety wrap that holds the arms down until instructed. Ensure the armrests are assembled in the correct direction to avoid damage to the awning mechanism.

4.4. Fabric Assembly
Carefully slide the fabric support bars (N) into the designated pockets on the awning fabric (M). Ensure the fabric is oriented correctly (the hemmed side should face downwards). Then, slide the fabric onto the roller tube (M1) and the front bar (M2) as indicated by the arrow directions in the instructions.
4.5. Roller Support Assembly
Attach the roller support (D-3) to the roller tube assembly. Secure it using the provided bolts (P) and ensure the plastic washers (F) are installed but not fully tightened, leaving about 0.5" space in between for proper function.
4.6. Wall Mounting
Determine the optimal installation height, typically between 8 to 13 feet from the ground. For mounting above a patio door, ensure at least 8 inches of clearance above the door frame. Use a level to mark a horizontal line for the wall brackets (D).
Drill holes using a 0.55" masonry drill bit for reinforced concrete or brick walls, approximately 4" deep. Insert the expansion bolts. For wooden walls, drill 0.25" holes and use the spare wood screws. Secure the wall brackets firmly.

Once the brackets are installed, carefully lift the assembled awning and attach it to the wall brackets using the hex screws. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Extending and Retracting the Awning
To extend the awning, insert the 59-inch manual crank handle (T) into the loop on the side of the awning mechanism. Rotate the crank handle clockwise to extend the awning to your desired projection distance. To retract the awning, rotate the crank handle counter-clockwise until the fabric is fully rolled up and secured.

5.2. Adjusting the Awning Angle
The awning comes with a pre-set pitch/angle. If adjustment is needed, it can be done in a few easy steps. Locate the adjustment points on the armrests. Loosen the bolts to adjust the angle between 40 and 90 degrees, then tighten securely. Always ensure both sides are adjusted evenly.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning Fabric: Clean the awning fabric periodically with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before retracting to prevent mildew. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Frame Inspection: Regularly inspect the frame, arms, and mounting brackets for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose fasteners. Tighten any loose bolts or screws.
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate moving parts with a silicone-based spray to ensure smooth operation.
- Winter Storage: In areas with heavy snow or ice, it is recommended to fully retract the awning and, if possible, remove it for winter storage to prevent damage.
