4. Setup and Installation
The BLANCO Lato detergent dispenser is designed for deck mounting on a kitchen sink or countertop. A tap hole with a diameter of 35 mm is required for installation.
4.1 Required Tools (Not Included)
- Adjustable wrench or pliers
- Screwdriver (if applicable for securing)
- Drill with 35mm hole saw (if creating a new hole)
4.2 Installation Steps
- Prepare the Mounting Hole: Ensure a 35 mm diameter tap hole is available on your sink or countertop. If not, carefully create one according to the manufacturer's guidelines for your sink material.
- Insert Dispenser Head: From above the sink, insert the dispenser head and its shaft through the prepared 35 mm hole.
- Secure from Below: From underneath the sink, slide the rubber washer, then the metal washer, onto the dispenser's shaft. Thread the mounting nut onto the shaft and tighten it securely by hand, then with an adjustable wrench, ensuring the dispenser is stable and upright. Do not overtighten.
- Attach Detergent Bottle: Screw the detergent bottle onto the threaded base of the dispenser shaft from underneath the sink. Ensure it is tightly sealed to prevent leaks.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Initial Use
After installation, the pump mechanism may require several presses to prime and draw detergent up from the bottle. Continue pressing until detergent is dispensed consistently.
5.2 Dispensing Detergent
To dispense detergent, simply press down on the top of the dispenser head. The spout will deliver a measured amount of liquid. Release the head to allow it to return to its original position.
5.3 Refilling the Detergent Bottle
The BLANCO Lato dispenser is designed for easy top-filling:
- Gently pull the dispenser head and pump mechanism straight up and out of the mounting hole. It should detach from the bottle below.
- Pour washing-up liquid directly into the opening of the bottle from above the sink. For optimal performance and to prevent clogging, it is recommended to mix the detergent with water in a 1:1 ratio.
- Once refilled, reinsert the dispenser head and pump mechanism back into the mounting hole, ensuring it seats properly.
