4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the device, slide the pendulum lock switch to the unlocked position. To power off, slide the pendulum lock switch back to the locked position.

4.2 Self-Leveling Mode

When the pendulum lock switch is in the unlocked position, the laser level will automatically self-level. If the device is outside its self-leveling range (±4° ±1°), the laser lines will flash rapidly to indicate an out-of-level condition. Adjust the device's position until the lines stabilize.

Video 4.1: This video demonstrates how to switch between different laser modes on the POPOMAN MTM350B.

4.3 Manual Mode (Slope Function)

To project lines at a specific angle, engage the manual mode:

  1. Slide the pendulum lock switch to the locked position.
  2. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the laser lines activate without self-leveling. The lines will remain static, allowing for angled projection.
  3. To exit manual mode, slide the pendulum lock switch to the unlocked position, then back to locked, or power off the device.

4.4 Pulse Mode

Pulse mode is used to extend the working range of the laser level when using an optional laser receiver (not included). This is particularly useful for outdoor applications or in bright conditions.

  1. Ensure the laser level is in self-leveling mode (pendulum unlocked).
  2. Press the 'P' button (Pulse Mode button) on the control panel. The laser lines will begin to pulse, and the pulse mode indicator will light up.
  3. Align the laser receiver with the pulsing laser line.
  4. To deactivate pulse mode, press the 'P' button again.
