1. Introduction
The Keychron K2 Version 2 is a compact 84-key (75% layout) RGB backlit mechanical keyboard designed for versatility and performance. It features an aluminum frame for durability and supports both Bluetooth wireless and USB Type-C wired connections, making it compatible with Mac, Windows, smartphones, laptops, and iPads.

3. Setup
3.1 Wired Connection
To use the keyboard in wired mode, connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to your computer's USB port. Ensure the mode switch on the side of the keyboard is set to "Cable". The keyboard will automatically be recognized by your system.

3.2 Wireless (Bluetooth) Connection
The Keychron K2 can connect to up to 3 devices via Bluetooth 5.1. To establish a wireless connection:
- Set the mode switch on the side of the keyboard to "BT" (Bluetooth).
- Press and hold the Fn + 1 (or Fn + 2 / Fn + 3) keys for 4 seconds until the 1 (or 2 / 3) key flashes blue rapidly. This indicates the keyboard is in pairing mode.
- On your device (computer, smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for "Keychron K2".
- Select "Keychron K2" from the list of available devices to complete the pairing process. The corresponding key (1, 2, or 3) will stop flashing and remain solid blue, indicating a successful connection.
To switch between paired devices, simply press Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3.

3.3 Operating System Compatibility
The Keychron K2 is compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. Use the dedicated switch on the side of the keyboard to select the appropriate layout for your system. Extra keycaps for both operating systems are included for customization.

4. Operating the Keyboard
4.1 Key Functions
The 75% layout retains essential shortcut and arrow keys. Standard QWERTY layout is provided. The Gateron Brown switches offer a tactile response with a 50 million keystroke lifespan.
4.2 RGB Backlight Control
The keyboard features charming RGB backlight with elegant keycap legends. You can cycle through various RGB lighting effects and static color modes by pressing the dedicated light key (usually located on the top right of the keyboard). Adjust brightness using Fn + F5 (decrease) and Fn + F6 (increase).

4.3 Battery Life and Charging
The K2 is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery, providing up to 72 hours of typing or 7 days of normal use (8 hours per day). When the battery is low, the indicator light will signal. Connect the USB Type-C cable to charge the keyboard.

4.4 Ergonomics
The keyboard features an ergonomic design with adjustable feet, allowing for a 9-degree typing angle to enhance comfort during extended use.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean your keyboard, disconnect it from all power sources. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and clean underneath. Avoid excessive moisture.
5.2 Keycap Replacement
The Keychron K2 comes with extra keycaps for Mac and Windows layouts. Use the included keycap puller to carefully remove existing keycaps by gently pulling straight up. Align the new keycap with the switch stem and press down firmly until it clicks into place.
6. Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding: Ensure the mode switch is set correctly (Cable/BT). For Bluetooth, check if the keyboard is paired and within range. Try reconnecting the USB cable or re-pairing the Bluetooth connection.
- Bluetooth disconnection issues: Ensure the keyboard battery is sufficiently charged. Avoid interference from other wireless devices.
- RGB backlight not working: Check if the backlight is turned off or set to minimum brightness. Press the light key to cycle through modes and adjust brightness.
- Keys not registering: Ensure the keyboard is clean and free of debris. If a specific key is not working, it might indicate a switch issue.
