5.4 Connecting Water Lines
- Connect the cold water inlet (typically on the right, marked blue) to your water source using a G1/2" hose.
- Connect the hot water outlet (typically on the left, marked red) to the shower head kit or desired hot water tap using a G1/2" hose.
- Ensure all water connections are tight to prevent leaks.

5.5 Connecting Gas Supply
- Connect the propane gas hose (9.5mm diameter) from your LPG cylinder to the gas inlet on the water heater.
- Use a regulator suitable for LPG and ensure the gas pressure is 2800 Pa.
- Tighten all gas connections securely.
- Leak Test: After connecting the gas, apply a soapy water solution to all gas connections. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, immediately turn off the gas supply, tighten the connection, and re-test. Do not operate the unit if a gas leak is present.
6. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to operate your VEVOR 6L Portable Propane Tankless Water Heater:
- Open Water Supply: Turn on the cold water supply to the unit. Ensure water flows through the heater and out of the shower head or tap. This primes the system and activates the water flow sensor.
- Open Gas Supply: Slowly open the valve on your LPG cylinder.
- Ignition: Once water flows, the automatic IC ignition system will spark, and the burner will ignite. You should hear a clicking sound followed by a whoosh as the burner lights.
- Adjust Water Temperature: Use the 'GAS REGULATOR' and 'WATER REGULATOR' knobs on the front panel to adjust the desired water temperature.
- GAS REGULATOR: Controls the flame intensity. Higher gas flow results in hotter water.
- WATER REGULATOR: Controls the water flow rate. Lower water flow allows more time for heating, resulting in hotter water.
- Summer/Winter Mode: Select the 'SUMMER' or 'WINTER' mode using the dedicated knob.
- SUMMER: Uses fewer burners, suitable for warmer ambient temperatures or when less heat is required, saving gas.
- WINTER: Uses all burners for maximum heating, suitable for colder ambient temperatures or when higher hot water temperatures are desired.

6.1 Shutting Down the Unit
- Turn off the gas supply at the LPG cylinder.
- Turn off the water supply to the unit.
- Allow the unit to cool down before handling or storing.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your water heater.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspect Gas Connections: Regularly check all gas connections for leaks, especially after moving the unit or replacing the gas cylinder.
- Water Inlet Filter: The water inlet may have a filter screen. Inspect and clean it periodically to prevent blockages from sediment.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the D-cell batteries when the ignition becomes weak or fails to spark consistently.
- Winterization (for cold climates): If using in freezing temperatures, drain all water from the unit to prevent damage from freezing. Disconnect water lines and open the drain valve (if present) to ensure all water is removed. Store in a dry, protected area.
8. Troubleshooting
Refer to the following table for common issues and their solutions:
