3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off and Unit Selection

  1. Press the "ON/UNIT/OFF" button to turn on the gauge. The LCD screen will display "0.0" and the selected unit.
  2. To change measurement units (PSI, BAR, Kgf/cm², KPA), press the "ON/UNIT/OFF" button repeatedly until your desired unit is displayed.
  3. The gauge will automatically shut off after 20 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life. To manually turn off the gauge, press and hold the "ON/UNIT/OFF" button for approximately 3 seconds.

3.2 Measuring Tire Pressure

  1. Ensure the gauge is powered on and the correct unit is selected.
  2. Press the gauge's nozzle firmly onto the tire valve stem. You will hear a slight hiss as air escapes; this is normal. Maintain a tight seal to prevent air leakage.
  3. The reading will be displayed on the backlit LCD screen. The illuminated nozzle assists in low-light conditions.
  4. Remove the gauge from the valve stem to easily read the measurement. The reading will hold on the screen for a few seconds.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator on the LCD screen shows low power, replace the 2 AAA batteries as described in Section 2.1. Always use fresh batteries for optimal performance.

4.2 Cleaning and Storage

  • Clean the gauge with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
  • Store the gauge in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Gauge Not Turning On or Flashing Screen

  • Check the batteries. Ensure they are correctly installed with the right polarity.
  • Replace the batteries with new ones if they are depleted.

5.2 Inaccurate Readings

  • Ensure a tight seal between the gauge nozzle and the tire valve stem during measurement. Air leakage can cause inaccurate readings.
  • Verify that the correct measurement unit is selected.
  • If issues persist, contact AstroAI Customer Service.
