Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the headset and ear cups with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the electronic components. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Storage

Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use, it is recommended to store it in a protective case to prevent dust accumulation and physical damage.

Battery Care

To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the headset frequently. Charge the headset regularly, even if not in constant use. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% before storage.

Troubleshooting

No Audio from Headset

  • Ensure the headset is powered on and fully charged.
  • Verify the USB Wireless Adapter is securely plugged into the Xbox console.
  • Check that the headset is paired with the adapter (solid LED on both). If not, try re-pairing by pressing the connect button on the adapter and then the power button on the headset until they connect.
  • Adjust the headset's volume wheel.
  • Check Xbox audio settings to ensure output is set to the headset.

Microphone Not Working

  • Ensure the microphone is securely attached to the headset.
  • Verify the microphone is not muted (flip the boom arm down, check for red LED).
  • Check Xbox privacy and microphone settings to ensure the microphone is enabled and accessible by applications.
  • Test the microphone with another device if possible to rule out a hardware issue.

Connection Issues / Disconnections

  • Ensure the headset is within range of the USB Wireless Adapter.
  • Avoid sources of strong wireless interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other wireless devices).
  • Try restarting both the Xbox console and the headset.
  • Ensure the headset firmware is up to date (check HyperX support website for updates).
