4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Gain Staging
Adjust the GAIN knob for each input channel to achieve an optimal signal level. The 'Peak' LED indicator should flash only occasionally on the loudest signals. Avoid constant illumination of the 'Peak' LED to prevent distortion.
4.2 Equalization (EQ)
Each mono channel features a 3-band EQ (High, Mid, Low) to shape the tone of your audio. Stereo channels have a 2-band EQ (High, Low). Adjust these knobs to enhance or cut specific frequencies as needed.
4.3 Compression (Channels 1-4)
Channels 1-4 include a single-knob compressor. Turn the COMP knob clockwise to apply compression, which helps to smooth out dynamic range and prevent peaks. Use sparingly for a natural sound.
4.4 GigFX Effects Engine
The GigFX engine offers 24 built-in effects. Use the FX PRESETS knob to select an effect. Adjust the FX level knob on each channel to send a desired amount of signal to the effects processor. The dedicated FX slider controls the overall return level of the effects into the main mix.

4.5 Main Mix and Output
Use the MAIN faders to control the overall output level of your mix. Connect your main speakers to the MAIN OUT (XLR or 1/4" TRS) on the rear panel. The SUB 1-2 faders control the output level of the subgroup, allowing you to route multiple channels to a single stereo output.
4.6 Monitoring
Connect headphones to the PHONES jack for personal monitoring. The PHONES/CONTROL ROOM knob adjusts the volume for both the headphones and the Control Room outputs. The Control Room outputs can be used to connect studio monitors.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the mixer's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish and controls. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the unit.
5.2 Storage
When not in use, store the mixer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If transporting, use the original packaging or a suitable protective case to prevent damage.
