4. Setup

4.1. Loading Thermal Paper

  1. Open the printer's top cover by pressing the release latch.
  2. Insert the thermal paper roll with the printing surface facing upwards.
  3. Pull a small amount of paper out past the cutter.
  4. Close the top cover firmly until it clicks into place.

4.2. Connecting Power and Interfaces

  1. Connect the power adapter to the printer's power port and then to an electrical outlet.

  6. Open a web browser and navigate to the printer's IP address (e.g., http://10.10.100.254).
  7. Log in using the default username "admin" and password "admin".
  8. Within the printer's web interface, navigate to the STA settings to configure the printer to connect to your regular WiFi network. Assign a static IP address to the printer within your network.
  9. Save the settings and disconnect your computer from the printer's direct WiFi network. Reconnect your computer to your regular WiFi network.
  10. Verify connectivity by pinging the printer's assigned static IP address from your computer's command prompt.
  11. Run the printer driver installation again. When prompted for connection type, select 'other' or 'network printer'. Add the printer as a 'Standard TCP/IP Port' using the static IP address you assigned. If prompted, select 'Generic Network Card' and use 'RAW, Port 9100'.
