1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the NETUM 80MM Thermal Receipt Printer. This printer is designed for efficient and reliable receipt printing in various business environments, supporting USB, Serial, and LAN connections.

2. Safety Information
- Ensure the printer is connected to a power source with the correct voltage as specified.
- Do not expose the printer to water or excessive humidity.
- Avoid placing the printer in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the printer yourself. Refer to qualified service personnel.
- Use only recommended thermal paper rolls to prevent damage to the print head.

4. Product Overview
4.1 Printer Components
- Power Indicator: Indicates power status.
- Error Indicator: Lights up to indicate an error condition.
- Paper Indicator: Indicates paper status (e.g., low paper, no paper).
- Feed Button: Used to manually feed paper.
- Cover Button: Releases the top cover for paper loading.
- Power On/Off Switch: Controls the printer's power.
- USB Port: For connecting to a computer via USB cable.
- RS232 (Serial) Port: For connecting to devices via serial cable.

5. Setup
5.1 Physical Connection
- Connect the power adapter to the printer's power port and then plug the power cable into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Connect the desired interface cable (USB, Serial, or LAN) from the printer to your computer or network device.
- If using a cash drawer, connect the cash drawer cable to the printer's cash drawer port.
- Turn on the printer using the Power On/Off switch located at the rear.
5.2 Loading Thermal Paper
- Press the Cover Button to open the printer's top cover.
- Insert the thermal paper roll with the printing surface facing the print head. Ensure the roll is seated correctly in the paper compartment.
- Pull a small amount of paper out past the cutter.
- Close the top cover firmly until it clicks into place.

5.3 Driver Installation
The printer requires a driver to communicate with your computer. A driver CD is included in the package.
- Insert the driver CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer driver.
- This printer supports all Windows and Linux systems based on ESC/POS print commands.
- Note: This printer does not support Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android, or Chrome OS devices. It also does not support Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Basic Printing
Once the driver is installed and the printer is connected, you can print receipts from your compatible POS software or application. The printer operates using direct thermal printing technology.
6.2 Auto Cutter Function
The printer features an auto-cutter for automatic paper cutting after each receipt is printed, enhancing efficiency. The auto-cutter is designed for long-lasting performance, up to 1.5 million cuts.
6.3 Cash Drawer Support
The printer supports cash drawer functionality. When configured correctly, the cash drawer will open automatically upon receipt printing.
6.4 Adding Custom Logo
You can add a custom logo to your receipts using the Setting Tool provided on the driver CD. Refer to the software's instructions for detailed steps on logo configuration.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Printer
- Ensure the printer is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to clean the thermal print head. Allow it to dry completely before use.
- Clean the paper path and exterior with a dry, soft cloth.
7.2 Paper Replacement
When the paper indicator signals low paper or no paper, replace the thermal paper roll following the steps outlined in Section 5.2.
