Setup Guide
Inserting Batteries
The Microsoft ARC Mouse requires 2 AAA batteries. To insert or replace batteries, gently lift the magnetic battery cover located on the underside of the mouse. Insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, then reattach the cover.

Powering On/Off
To power on the Microsoft ARC Mouse, bend it into its arched position. A blue LED indicator will illuminate. To power off, flatten the mouse. This action conserves battery life and makes the mouse compact for travel.

Bluetooth Pairing
1. Ensure the mouse is powered on (arched position).
2. On your computer or device, navigate to Bluetooth settings.
3. Select 'Add Bluetooth or other device' and choose 'Bluetooth'.
4. The 'Arc Bluetooth Mouse' should appear in the list of available devices. Select it to pair.
5. A blue LED on the mouse will blink during pairing and become solid once connected.

Operating Your Mouse
Clicking
The Microsoft ARC Mouse features a full touch scroll plane that recognizes left and right clicks. Press the left side of the touch surface for a left click, and the right side for a right click.
Scrolling
The innovative full scroll plane allows for both vertical and horizontal scrolling. Simply slide your finger up or down the touch surface for vertical scrolling, or left and right for horizontal scrolling.

Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the mouse surface with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Battery Replacement
Refer to the 'Inserting Batteries' section for instructions on replacing the 2 AAA batteries.
Troubleshooting
Connectivity Issues
- Ensure the mouse is powered on and fully charged (or has fresh batteries).
- Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
- Try unpairing and re-pairing the mouse in your device's Bluetooth settings.
- Move the mouse closer to your device to rule out range issues.
Tracking Problems
- Ensure the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse is clean and free of obstructions.
- Use the mouse on a clean, non-reflective surface. While designed for versatility, some surfaces may affect tracking.
