Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the required batteries (typically AAA, refer to the compartment label for exact type and polarity). Ensure correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Power On

Upon battery installation, the device will power on automatically. The display will show default time and date settings, and the current temperature.

3. Setting Time and Date

  • Press the MODE button to cycle through display modes until the time setting mode is active (usually indicated by flashing digits).
  • Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the hour, then press MODE to confirm and move to minutes.
  • Repeat this process for setting the year, month, and day.
  • Press MODE again to exit the setting mode.

Operating Instructions

1. Display Modes

Press the MODE button to switch between different display modes, such as Time, Date, and Alarm settings.

2. Setting the Alarm

  1. Press MODE until the alarm time is displayed (often indicated by an alarm icon).
  2. Press and hold MODE until the alarm hour digits flash.
  3. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set the desired alarm hour.
  4. Press MODE to confirm and move to minutes, then set minutes.
  5. Press MODE again to save the alarm setting.
  6. To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the ALARM ON/OFF button (or similar, refer to device buttons). An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.

3. Using the Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (usually located on top) to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after a few minutes (typically 5-10 minutes).

4. Backlight Activation

Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to activate the display backlight for a few seconds, improving visibility in low-light conditions.

5. Temperature Display

The device continuously displays the ambient temperature. Some models may allow switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit. If available, press a dedicated °C/°F button or refer to the manual for specific button combinations.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the surface or internal components.

2. Battery Replacement

When the display dims or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type.

3. Storage

If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage.
