Maintenance
1. Water Resistance
The Baldr Digital Bathroom Clock has an IP24 splash-proof rating, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction. It is suitable for use in humid environments like bathrooms and showers. However, it is not designed for full immersion in water. Avoid submerging the clock or exposing it to direct, high-pressure water jets.
2. Cleaning
To clean the clock, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical agents, as these may damage the display or casing.
3. Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or the clock functions erratically, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section. Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Buttons unresponsive when wet | Water bridging the gap between the case and display, affecting touch sensitivity. | Dry the clock surface thoroughly before attempting to use the buttons. |
| Timer activates automatically | Accidental touch or environmental factors. | Ensure the clock is placed where it won't be accidentally touched. If the issue persists, try resetting the device by removing and reinserting batteries. |
| Suction cup does not hold | Surface is not clean, dry, or smooth; suction cup is distorted. | Clean and dry the mounting surface. Moisten the suction cup slightly before pressing firmly. If the suction cup is damaged, use the stand or wall hanging hole instead. |
| Display is dim or blank | Low or depleted batteries. | Replace the AAA batteries with new ones. |
| Inaccurate temperature/humidity readings | Sensor obstruction or extreme environmental conditions. | Ensure the clock's sensors are not blocked. Allow the clock to acclimate to the room temperature for 15-30 minutes after setup. |
