2. Safety Instructions
Please read these safety instructions carefully before operating the device. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Power Supply: Connect the unit only to an AC power outlet with the specified voltage (230V, 50Hz). Ensure the power cord is not damaged or pinched.
- Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Ensure adequate airflow around the unit to prevent overheating.
- Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, dripping, or splashing. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus.
- Foreign Objects: Do not insert any foreign objects into the unit's openings.

4.1. Unpacking and Inspection

- AUX IN (RCA): Stereo RCA inputs for connecting external audio sources.
- PRE OUT / AMP IN (RCA): Pre-amplifier output and main amplifier input. This allows for connecting external processors (like a sound limiter) or extending the system with additional amplifiers/subwoofers.
- SPEAKER OUTPUT: Binding post terminals for connecting passive speakers (minimum 4 Ohm load per channel). Connect positive (+) to positive and negative (-) to negative.
- AC INPUT: Power socket for connecting the supplied AC power cable.
4.4. Connections
- Speakers: Connect your 8 Ohm passive speakers to the "SPEAKER OUTPUT" terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). The unit can drive up to 4 small 8 Ohm speakers.
- Audio Sources:
- For USB drives or SD cards, insert them into the respective slots on the front panel.
- For external devices like CD players, connect them to the front panel 6.3mm AUX input or the rear panel RCA AUX IN.
- For microphones, connect to the front panel MIC input.
- Power: Connect the supplied power cable to the "AC INPUT" on the rear panel and then to a suitable wall outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Powering On/Off
Press the POWER switch on the front panel to turn the unit on or off. The LCD display will illuminate when the unit is powered on.
5.2. Source Selection
Press the MODE button on the front panel (or remote control) to cycle through available input sources: USB, SD, Bluetooth, FM Radio, AUX (front), AUX (rear).
5.3. Media Playback (USB/SD)
- Insert a USB flash drive or SD card containing MP3 or WAV files into the corresponding slot. The unit will automatically switch to USB/SD mode and begin playback.
- Use the PREVIOUS (|<), NEXT (>|), PLAY/PAUSE (>||), and STOP (■) buttons to control playback.
- Press the REPEAT button to cycle through playback modes: single track repeat, folder repeat, or all track repeat.
- Press the EQ button to select different equalizer presets.
5.4. Bluetooth Operation
- Select Bluetooth mode using the MODE button. The LCD display will show "Bluetooth" or a pairing indicator.
- On your smart device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Newhank Powermate" (or similar name) from the list to pair. Once paired, you can stream audio wirelessly from your device to the Powermate.
5.5. FM Radio Operation
- Select FM Radio mode using the MODE button.
- Use the PREVIOUS (|<) and NEXT (>|) buttons to manually tune frequencies or auto-scan for stations.
- The LCD display will show the current FM frequency.
5.6. Volume and Tone Control
- MIC LEVEL: Adjust the volume of the connected microphone.
- AUX/MP3 LEVEL: Adjust the volume for front auxiliary input and media player (USB/SD/Bluetooth).
- LINE LEVEL: Adjust the volume for rear auxiliary input.
- VOLUME: This is the master volume control for the overall output of the amplifier. Adjust it to your desired listening level.
- TREBLE: Rotate to increase or decrease high frequencies.
- BASS: Rotate to increase or decrease low frequencies.
5.7. Remote Control

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris to ensure proper cooling.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
