Setup

Operating Instructions

Performing a Blood Glucose Test

Follow these steps to perform a blood glucose test:

  1. Wash Hands: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Dry them completely.
  2. Insert Test Strip: Insert a OneTouch Ultra test strip into the test strip port of the meter. The meter will turn on automatically.
  3. Obtain Blood Sample: Use the lancing device to prick the side of your fingertip. Gently squeeze your finger to form a small drop of blood.
  4. Apply Blood Sample: Touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood will be drawn into the strip. Do not apply blood to the top of the strip.
  5. Read Results: The meter will display your blood glucose result in approximately 5 seconds.
  6. Record Results: The meter automatically stores your results. You can also manually record them in a logbook.
