3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided car charger or USB cable.
- Connect the small end of the USB cable to the MINI USB 5PIN socket on the GPS device.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to the car charger, then plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V DC socket.
- Alternatively, connect the USB cable to a computer's USB port for charging.
- A full charge typically takes 2-3 hours. The battery indicator will show charging status.
3.2 Mounting the Device
Securely mount the GPS device in your vehicle for optimal visibility and safety.
- Attach the back bracket to the rear of the GPS device until it clicks into place.
- Connect the suction cup mount to the back bracket.
- Clean the desired area on your windshield or dashboard.
- Press the suction cup firmly against the surface and engage the lever to secure it.
- Adjust the angle of the device for clear viewing without obstructing your driving view.
- Attach the sunshade to the top of the device to reduce glare.

3.3 Initial Power On and Settings
Press and hold the power button to turn on the device. Upon first startup, you may need to configure basic settings.

- Speed Camera and Driving Alerts: Receive warnings for average speed cameras, red light cameras, railway crossings, high accident zones, and dangerous areas.

4.2.3 Multi-Vehicle Support and Truck Features
The Xgody 886 supports various vehicle types, allowing you to customize routes based on your specific needs.
- Vehicle Types: Car, Pedestrian, Bicycle, Emergency, Bus, Taxi, Truck.
- Truck Features: When "Truck" is selected, you can input your truck's dimensions (height, width, length) and weight. The system will then plan routes that avoid low bridges, tunnels, weight-restricted roads, and toll gates, optimizing your travel for safety and efficiency.

4.2.4 Lifetime Map Updates
The device comes pre-loaded with maps for various countries. For map updates or to download maps for other regions, please contact Xgody customer support with your order ID.
4.3 Multimedia Functions

- Video Player: Supports ASF, AVI, MP4, WMV, MPG, DAT, MPEG, 3GP formats.
- Audio Player: Supports WMA9, MP3, and WAV formats.

4.4 FM Transmitter
The built-in FM transmitter allows you to transfer the GPS voice prompts and other audio from the device to your car's FM radio.
