Setup and Initial Use

Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the thermometer.
2. Use the included screwdriver to open the battery cover.
3. Insert the AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

Turning On/Off

Operating Instructions

Measuring Temperature

1. Extend the probe to turn on the thermometer.
2. Insert the tip of the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bone or gristle.
3. The temperature reading will display on the screen within 3-4 seconds.
4. The display will auto-rotate for easy viewing from any angle.

Using the Lock Function

• Press the LOCK button to hold the current temperature reading on the display. This is useful when removing the thermometer from hot food or an oven to read the temperature safely.
• Press the LOCK button again to unlock the display and resume live temperature readings.

Using the Backlight

• Press the LIGHT button to activate the display backlight.
• The backlight will automatically turn off after a few seconds to conserve battery.

Temperature Unit Selection (°C/°F)

• On the back of the thermometer, locate the small button to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).

Calibration

5. Use the LOCK or LIGHT buttons to adjust the reading to 32°F (0°C).
6. Press the CAL button again to confirm and save the calibration.
