3. Setup
3.1 Handle Assembly
- Unfold the lower handle sections and secure them using the quick-release levers.
- Attach the upper handle section, ensuring all cables are routed correctly and not pinched. Tighten the securing knobs.
- Adjust the handle height to a comfortable position using the ErgoSlide mechanism.
3.2 Grass Box Assembly
- Assemble the two halves of the grass box by snapping them together firmly.
- Lift the rear flap of the mower and hook the assembled grass box onto the designated mounts. Ensure it is securely seated.
3.3 Battery Installation
The UniversalRotak 36-550 is supplied without a battery. Use only Bosch 36V POWER FOR ALL batteries.

- Open the battery compartment cover located on top of the mower.
- Slide a fully charged 36V Bosch battery into the compartment until it clicks into place.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adjusting Cutting Height
The cutting height can be adjusted to 6 different positions, ranging from 25 mm to 70 mm.

- Ensure the mower is switched off and the battery is removed before adjusting the cutting height.
- Locate the single-button cutting height adjustment lever on the side of the mower.
- Press the button and move the lever to the desired height setting. Release the button to lock the height.
4.2 Starting and Stopping the Mower
- To Start: Press and hold the safety button on the handle, then pull the switch lever towards the handle. The motor will start. Release the safety button.
- To Stop: Release the switch lever. The motor will stop immediately.
4.3 Mowing Techniques
- For best results, mow in straight, overlapping lines.
- Avoid overloading the mower by cutting excessively long grass in one pass. Adjust cutting height or make multiple passes if necessary.
- The integrated grass combs allow for close-to-edge mowing, reducing the need for additional trimming.
4.4 Emptying the Grass Box
The 40-liter grass box should be emptied regularly to maintain optimal collection performance.

- Switch off the mower and remove the battery.
- Lift the rear flap and detach the grass box from the mower.
- Empty the grass clippings into a suitable container or compost pile.
- Reattach the grass box securely before resuming operation.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Always remove the battery before cleaning.
- Clean the mower thoroughly after each use. Remove grass clippings from the cutting deck, wheels, and air vents using a brush or cloth.
- Do not use water jets or high-pressure cleaners. Avoid using harsh detergents or solvents.
5.2 Blade Care
- Regularly inspect the blade for wear, damage, or imbalance. A dull or damaged blade can affect cutting performance and mower balance.

5.3 Storage
- Clean the mower before storing.
