Troubleshooting
Device Not Recognized
- Check Cable Connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the Rocket Nano and your computer. Try a different USB port or cable if available.
- Verify OS Compatibility: The Rocket Nano is compatible with Windows and Mac OS. Ensure your operating system is up-to-date.
- Disk Management (Windows) / Disk Utility (Mac): Check if the drive appears in your system's disk management tools. It might need to be initialized or formatted before use.
- Power Supply: As a bus-powered device, ensure your USB port provides sufficient power. Some older or less powerful USB ports might not supply enough power for optimal operation.
Slow Transfer Speeds
- USB Port Type: Ensure you are connected to a USB 3.2 10Gb/s (or higher) compatible port on your computer for maximum speeds. Connecting to older USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports will result in slower performance.
- Cable Quality: Use the provided high-quality USB cables. Lower quality or longer cables can degrade performance.
- System Load: High CPU usage or other background processes on your computer can affect transfer speeds.
- Drive Temperature: While designed for heat dissipation, prolonged heavy use in a hot environment might lead to thermal throttling, reducing speeds. Ensure adequate airflow around the device.
