4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Speaker Placement

Position the active speaker (with controls) and the passive speaker on a flat, stable surface. Ensure adequate space around each speaker for optimal sound dispersion. The active speaker can be placed on either the right or left side; adjust the 'Active Speaker Position' switch on the rear panel accordingly.

4.2. Power Connection

1. Connect the power cable to the 'Power In' port on the rear of the active speaker.
2. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable wall outlet (100-240V, 50/60Hz).

4.3. Connecting Speakers

1. Use the provided speaker connection cable.
2. Connect one end of the cable to the 'Output to L-SPK' port on the active speaker.
3. Connect the other end to the 'Input from Active Speaker' port on the passive speaker.

4.4. Audio Source Connection

Choose one of the following methods to connect your audio source:

• Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. The speakers will automatically enter pairing mode when powered on. Select 'Hercules DJSPEAKER 32 SMART' from your device's Bluetooth list to connect.
• RCA Input: Use an RCA cable (not included) to connect your audio source (e.g., DJ controller, audio interface) to the 'Input R/L' RCA ports on the rear of the active speaker.
• Balanced Input: Use 1/4-inch TRS cables (not included) to connect your audio source to the 'Balanced R/L' input jacks on the rear of the active speaker.
• Auxiliary Input (Front): Use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect your device to the 'AUX' input jack on the front of the active speaker.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Powering On/Off

Flip the 'On/Off' switch on the rear panel of the active speaker to the 'On' position. The power/volume LED on the front will illuminate.

5.2. Adjusting Volume

Rotate the 'Volume' knob on the front of the active speaker clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.

5.3. Headphone Use

Plug your headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the front of the active speaker. The speaker output will mute automatically.
