2. Safety Instructions
General Safety:
- Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating on the charger.
- Do not use the appliance near water or in wet conditions.
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
- Do not vacuum flammable or combustible liquids, hot ashes, or sharp objects.
- Always turn off the appliance before cleaning or performing maintenance.
- Use only GRUNDIG original accessories and spare parts.
Battery Safety:
- The appliance is equipped with a Lithium-Ion battery. Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
- Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or short-circuit the battery.
- If the battery is damaged or leaking, avoid contact with skin and eyes. Seek medical attention if contact occurs.

4. Setup
4.1 Assembly
The GRUNDIG VCP 3830 is designed for easy assembly. Connect the main vacuum unit to the extension tube, and then attach the desired floor nozzle or accessory. Ensure all connections click securely into place.

4.2 Charging the Battery
- Locate the charging port on the main unit.
- Connect the charging adapter to the vacuum cleaner and then plug it into a power outlet.
- The LED charging indicator will illuminate, showing the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.
- For optimal battery life, fully charge the battery before first use.

4.3 Wall Mount Installation
The included wall mount allows for space-saving storage. Choose a suitable location near a power outlet. Secure the wall mount to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors (not included). Ensure it is mounted at a height that allows the vacuum to hang freely.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off and Suction Levels
Press the power button to turn the vacuum cleaner on. The appliance has 2 suction power levels, including a turbo level for increased power. Press the mode button to cycle through the suction settings. The LED indicator will show the selected power level.
The electric brush on the floor nozzle features 5 LED lights to illuminate dust under furniture, enhancing visibility during cleaning.

5.2 Using as a Stick Vacuum
Attach the extension tube and the electric turbo brush for effective cleaning of all floor coverings, including hard floors and carpets. The rubber lip on the floor nozzle acts as shock protection for furniture.

5.3 Using as a Handheld Vacuum
Detach the extension tube to use the main unit as a handheld vacuum. Attach the 2-in-1 attachment or the crevice nozzle for cleaning furniture, upholstery, car interiors, or hard-to-reach areas.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner. Always turn off the device and remove the power plug before cleaning or maintenance.
6.1 Emptying the Dust Container
- Press the release button to detach the dust container from the main unit.
- Open the dust container and empty its contents into a waste bin.
- Close the dust container and reattach it to the main unit, ensuring it clicks into place.

6.2 Cleaning the Filter
The vacuum cleaner features an efficient filter system with cyclone technology and a HEPA 10 filter. The filter should be cleaned regularly to maintain suction power.
- Remove the dust container as described above.
- Carefully remove the HEPA 10 filter from the dust container.
- Tap the filter gently over a waste bin to remove loose dust. If necessary, rinse the filter under cold running water. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinserting it.
- Reinsert the dry filter and reattach the dust container.

6.3 Cleaning the Electric Brush
Periodically check the electric turbo brush for tangled hair or debris. Use scissors to cut away any tangled hair and remove it. Ensure the brush roll spins freely.
6.4 Battery Care
The 21.6 V Li-ion battery is removable and replaceable. To prolong battery life, avoid completely discharging it frequently. Store the vacuum cleaner in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
