3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1 Attaching the Neck Strap

Thread the provided neck strap through the strap lugs on the sides of the binoculars. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent accidental drops.

3.4 Focusing the Binoculars

The Usogood 12x50 binoculars use a central focus wheel and a right eyepiece diopter adjustment for precise focusing.

1. Close your right eye or cover the right objective lens.
2. Look through the binoculars with your left eye at a distant object.
3. Rotate the central focus wheel until the image in the left eyepiece is sharp and clear.
4. Open your right eye and close your left eye, or cover the left objective lens.
5. Look through the binoculars with your right eye at the same distant object.
6. Rotate the right eyepiece diopter ring (located on the right eyepiece) until the image is sharp and clear.
7. Now, both eyepieces are adjusted to your vision. For future viewing, simply use the central focus wheel to focus on objects at varying distances.

3.5 Attaching the Smartphone Adapter and Tripod

The included smartphone adapter and tripod allow for stable viewing and photography.

1. Attach the smartphone adapter: Secure your smartphone into the adapter. Align the phone's camera lens with one of the binocular eyepieces.
2. Attach the tripod: Screw the binoculars onto the tripod using the standard 1/4"-20 threaded interface located on the front hinge of the binoculars (often covered by a cap).
3. Mount the phone adapter to the binoculars: If using the phone adapter with the tripod, ensure the phone adapter is securely attached to the eyepiece before mounting the binoculars on the tripod for stability.

4. Operating the Binoculars

4.1 General Observation
