Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Clean: Wash the lid, bun steaming tray, venting rack, and hot dog drawer in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The main unit with the heating element should only be wiped with a damp cloth.
  3. Assemble: Place the main unit on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Insert the hot dog steaming drawer, then the bun steaming tray and venting rack, and finally the transparent lid.
  4. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid and carefully pour water into the water reservoir located in the base of the unit. Ensure the water level is between the MIN and MAX indicators. Do not overfill.
  5. Connect Power: Unwind the power cord from the hidden storage and plug the appliance into a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to steam hot dogs and warm buns:

  1. Prepare Hot Dogs: Place regular or jumbo-sized hot dogs into the hot dog steaming drawer. The steamer can accommodate multiple hot dogs.
  2. Prepare Buns: Place hot dog buns onto the bun steaming tray.
  3. Power On: Flip the On/Off switch to the "On" position. The indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Steaming Time: Hot dogs typically steam in under 5 minutes. Adjust steaming time based on desired temperature and hot dog thickness. Buns will warm simultaneously.
  5. Monitor: The transparent lid allows you to monitor the steaming process.
  6. Serve: Once hot dogs and buns are heated to your preference, carefully remove them using tongs.
  7. Power Off: Always turn the On/Off switch to the "Off" position and unplug the appliance after use.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your steamer:

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the steamer from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove Components: Detach the lid, bun steaming tray, venting rack, and hot dog drawer.
  3. Wash Removable Parts: Wash these removable parts in warm, soapy water. They are top-rack dishwasher safe. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  4. Clean Base Unit: Wipe the exterior and interior of the main unit (containing the heating element) with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  5. Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits may accumulate in the water reservoir. To descale, fill the reservoir with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes, then empty and rinse thoroughly.
  6. Storage: Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling and storing. Utilize the hidden cord storage for a tidy countertop.

Troubleshooting
